TeachTown-enCORE

Overall Project Goals: Developed and edited 108 standards-based Science and Social Studies lessons based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for children with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Client and Key Partners: Brattle, lead by our special education researcher and academic Dr. Shirley Dickson, conceptualized and developed social studies and science lessons that were grounded in research-based, ABA strategies.

Description of Collaborative Efforts: Brattle worked closely with the experts at Teachtown to develop more than 100 science and social studies lessons for the enCore program. Brattle reviewed Teachtown’s scope and sequence of skills and proprietary literature in order to execute the lessons that address Teachtown’s learning objectives and education standards.

Brattle’s Expertise and Deliverables: Brattle brought experienced professionals with decades of development experience and special education backgrounds to create instructional materials appropriate for these students. Materials developed were highly visual, based on ABA, and effective, research- and evidence-based special education strategies. In addition, Brattle’s team integrated instructional technology tools into the instruction and application of activities.

Project Outcomes: Brattle and its partners developed 108 lessons for Middle School helping Teachtown complete its hybrid general education program.
